I want to send the current hike a care package? Our Hikers are no longer stateside and there is no good way to send them regular mail. All Earth Expedition Hikers raise their own funds for their leg of the expedition. In the past they have has sold everything they have owned, guitars, cars, mopeds, bicycles, and many other personal items to make it happen. However we are always actively pursuing corporate and private sponsorship opportunities. If you are interested in Corporate or Private Sponsorships then please contact Daren@theearthexpedition.com I want to walk for the expedition..what do I do? There is a age limit of 21 years old to hike for the expedition. We think it is great that you are interested in walking for such a great cause as Active Water! We are currently looking for men and/or women interested in taking The Earth Expedition's Banner around the world. We have been doing this for a while now and are able to get the base weight down to 30-35 lbs depending on the hiker and location. (Base Weight is void of water and food) Does The Earth Expedition send out solo hikers? Yes and No: Daniel and Daren hiked alone but Bryan did not. We don't like to send out hikers out solo. Why are you doing this? The Earth Expedition is a peaceful revolution for social justice. A literal walk by a variety of people around the world in order to be a voice for the people of Africa. The Earth Expedition is a Athletic Campaign of Active Water. This expedition has evolved into something bigger than the original vision years ago. People run or walk the streets in great numbers for cancer, MS, and diabetes, etc. Let's walk the world for water, and tell everyone that there is absolutely no need for 6,000 people in Africa to die each day because they lack clean water. It's just not acceptable. Our Hikers believe in leaving a legacy. What about protection? We do no disclose what our hikers carry. Where do the Hikers stay? Camping will be their primary arrangement. Other than that they hope that the media attention and the people they meet along the way will open up some doors…….literally If you are interested in hosting one of The Earth Expedition's hikers please write Daren@theearthexpedition.com What about Visa Regulations? Each Country is different but for the most part, Europe only requires a valid passport. However In some countries we will have to apply for Visa’s multiple times. I live close to The Earth Expedition's Route….can I offer my place to stay? Heck yeah! If you live close to the route and are willing to house one of the Hikers for a night then write Daren@theearthexpedition.com with all of your information and we will do what we can to make it happen. So where did the idea come from? The idea was derived from a brainstorm one night back in 2006. Daren wanted to know if it was possible for someone to walk around the world. He found out that only a few people have ever tried it and succeeded. Mix it with a passion to fight for social justice and a way to worship and you got The Earth Expedition. Are you Crazy? We have been called many things.... Sane is usually not in the top ten.
