- Globe to Phoenix, AZ

Globe to Phoenix: Hey everyone! Thanks for all of you that are following the Expedition. If you have been reading up in the Blog Archives you would know that I have been on hiatus for the past week letting me feet heal. My feet are in worst condition than they ever were on the Appalachian Trail. The trail offered a non repetitive hiking as opposed to the same repetitive motion of walking on pavement for an average of over a marathon a day. As a result the California/Arizona Desert have claimed 2 of my toenails and left me with 6 blisters which is something that I was not thankful  for this Thanksgiving.  Good news is that Rocko (A.T. friend) was able to take me in over the past week and allow me to let my feet heal. I have been off of them for a while and they feel and look much better. Tomorrow I will be heading out to Globe, AZ for a 100 mile test walk. I will be walking back to Phoenix, AZ to see where I am at when it comes to my body’s condition.

Thanksgiving: Thanksgiving was good to me. Rocko and some of her friends took me up to a cabin in Prescott, AZ. It was a few days off the road and with people. I think the highlight is when I drove Rocko to the E.R.. She broke up a dog fight and in the process got her hand caught under the cinch collar of the mastiff and cut her pretty good. So thanksgiving night was filled with doctors and nurses. Other  than that we were even able to go Geocacheing. If you have never been… I would check it out… Good times.

Support Vehicle: Even though we have a lot of you out there looking for us we still are on the lookout for a support vehicle for the last 2200 miles of the US. If you know of someone who is willing to donate a vehicle then please contact us daren@theearthexpedition.com

Until Next time … “Life to the Fullest” Daren
